FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Hodges Associates received seven “ADDY®” Awards
at the 2006-2007 competition sponsored by Professional Ad Club East (PACE),
the Greenville, NC-based chapter of the American Advertising Federation
(AAF). AAF ADDY competitions are held annually throughout the U.S.
to recognize excellence in creativity, originality and creative strategy.
“We are proud of this recognition for our professional achievements,” says
Anna Hodges Smith, President of Hodges Associates. “But we owe the credit
to our clients, because they give us the opportunity to use our expertise and
creative talents to achieve their marketing goals.”
Awards won by Hodges Associates, on behalf of their clients, include:
A Gold ADDY award for a development brochure written, designed and
produced for Cape Fear Botanical Garden. The brochure informs community
stakeholders about the Garden’s mission, programs, and opportunities
to support its future expansion plans. Hodges also won a Silver ADDY
for a vivid close-up photograph (young girl smelling a flower), which
was used in the Botanical Garden’s development brochure. Cape
Fear Botanical Garden is a major visitor attraction and community
resource in Fayetteville, N.C.
Additional Silver ADDY’s for:
-
Sales kit for ESAB Welding & Cutting Products’ “FASTRAK” program.
This multi-faceted sales incentive program targets distributors of
the ESAB’s products and customers in distributor stores, as
well as the company’s internal sales force. Based in Sweden,
with their U.S. corporate headquarters in Florence, S.C., ESAB is
one of the world’s
largest manufacturers of welding and cutting products.
-
For the Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, a sales
kit (including an elegant folder and insert sheets) designed to promote
tourism and attract meetings and conventions to the area. With a
design that evokes the community’s rich heritage, the folder
itself is a “tableau” of the area’s history and
present-day attractions.
-
Sales kit (including folder, brochure and more) for Kidsville
News, an educational publication produced by Up & Coming
Publications in Fayetteville, N.C. The sales materials target
potential publishers across the country, as Kidsville News is
available for licensure.
-
A trade journal ad for North Carolina’s Southeast, the economic
development organization for an eleven-county region in the state. Headlined “We’re
Heavy Into Metal,” the ad promotes the region’s many
advantages for metal-working companies looking for an ideal place to relocate, expand or open a new business.
-
For the Public Works Commission (PWC) of Fayetteville,
a logo – with
the theme “Celebrate a Community Called Earth” – for
the May Day celebration at Cape Fear Botanical Garden. PWC is the
municipal utility company (providing electricity, water and sanitary
sewer) for greater Fayetteville. Sponsorship of the May Day event
is just one of the company’s many environmentally-conscious
efforts for the community.
