Kuhn Dental’s New 3D X-Ray Machine Uses CT Scan Technology

ABERDEEN, NC – Kuhn Dental Associates has added a Sirona Orthophos XG panoramic X-ray machine to their practice. This state-of-the-art machine uses the latest digital and CT scan technology to provide “3D” views for dental X-rays. One of the benefits for patients is the fact that they can actually visualize what a proposed dental prosthetic, such as an implant, would look like, thanks to the machine’s capacity to “fuse” the X-ray image of their mouth with the prosthetic. The machine’s advanced capabilities also provide patients with a “clearer picture” of what their treatment would involve.

“We are using our new Orthophos X-ray machine for many functions in our practice,” said Mandy Kuhn Grimshaw, DDS, from Kuhn Dental. “It is particularly helpful to us for planning treatment and placing dental implants and for evaluating patients with temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder.” The 3D X-ray machine also aids the dentists in diagnosing a patient’s problem, as it provides several imaging options for different and more detailed views.

Located in Aberdeen, Kuhn Dental Associates has been serving patients from throughout the Sandhills area for nearly 40 years.
